AI Tool Fit
Find the right AI or automation tool for a use case through structured, deterministic capability matching rather than vendor-first guesswork.
Problem Statement
AI tool selection often starts with a product name: ChatGPT, Copilot, Power Automate, an agent platform, or another vendor tool. That starts the decision from the wrong end. AI Tool Fit starts with the requirement instead — what the user needs to accomplish, how autonomous the solution should be, what information it must use, what systems it must interact with, what governance constraints exist, and where it needs to run. The goal is not to declare one vendor universally better. It is to make the fit between a business requirement and a technology architecture visible, structured and explainable.
Approach
AI Tool Fit evaluates a use case across 14 core requirement dimensions. A conditional System Automation Access question is activated only when the use case actually requires automation or system interaction, so this is not a permanently fixed 15-question framework. The assessment follows this pipeline: Business Requirements → Normalize Requirements → Route Solution Category → Match Tool Capabilities → Apply Hard Constraints → Rank + Explain The result is a ranked set of eligible technology options with the reasoning, trade-offs and constraints behind the recommendation.
Learnings & Hiccups
The scoring is intentionally deterministic rather than presented as an AI oracle. The same requirement profile and capability matrix should produce the same result. Recommendations are only as current as the curated capability data behind them, so vendor capabilities and enterprise constraints still need periodic review. The tool measures requirement compatibility; it does not predict the objectively best AI product.
